I am available to give one on one personal computer tuition, in your own home or office (in the greater Wellington area) and at your learning pace. Lessons are based on your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or need to know how to get the best out of your office productivity software. With tuition on your own PC you know that what you learn is going to work on your computer!

Note: most people are "kinetic" learners - they learn by typing or writing things down as they try them out on the computer - the movement helps cement the learning in place. Very few people can learn well from manuals, so there is no need to feel inferior or stupid if you can't follow written instructions - this is actually the "norm".

I have been using computers from the inceptiion of the micro-computer itself and I am familiar with Microsoft Windows and Ububtu Linux operating systems and most office software.

Most people have problems in these areas:

• Understanding the file system and where to put files so they can be easily retrieved again later.
• Only knowing very basic operations in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web browsing and email but don't like reading help screens or manuals!
• Not understanding error and warning messages.

I can help in rounding out and extending existing knowledge, teach new ways of working and introduce new or advanced concepts and features.

My rate is very reasonable at $45.00 for two hours tuition in your home.
I cover all of Wellington city and suburbs. $50 if you are in Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt or Porirua.
Longer or shorter times can be arranged.

I am often available in the evening or on the weekend if this suits you better.
